UPDATE @ 2:30 p.m.: Centre Hastings OPP say the driver of a transport truck involved in a crash this afternoon, has been charged under the Highway Traffic Act, with failing to stop for a red light.
The accident happened at the intersection of Highway 62 and Highway 7, just before 1 p.m., when the westbound truck went through a red light and hit a northbound car, deploying the air bags and causing heavy damage to both vehicles.
The driver of the car, a 47 year-old woman from Eldorado was taken to Belleville General Hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries, while the 46 year-old Ajax man driving the truck, wasn’t injured.

One person has been taken to hospital after a crash in Centre Hastings early this afternoon.
Centre Hastings Fire Chief Bob Branscombe tells Quinte News a car and transport truck were involved in the crash, at the intersection of Highway 62 and Highway 7, just before 1 p.m.
Branscombe says he’s unsure of the severity of injuries.
