The Belleville Senators have signed a former Stanley Cup winner to a professional tryout offer.
Chris Kelly, who has played 12 seasons in the NHL with Ottawa and Boston, will join the team ahead of Saturday’s game in Toronto against the Marlies.
Kelly won the Stanley Cup in 2011 with Boston and was part of the Ottawa team that went to the cup final in 2007.
He’s appeared in 833 regular season NHL games, scoring 123 goals and 166 assists
545 of those games and 188 of the points were registered with Ottawa.
The Toronto native has also played in 120 120 Stanley Cup Playoff games, registering 32 points.
Belleville visits Toronto at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday and 3:00 p.m. on Sunday.
