The Colorado Avalanche have called up goaltender Andrew Hammond which means another shuffle for the Belleville Senators.
Hammond was traded to the Avs by Ottawa earlier this month as part of the deal that sent Matt Duchesne to our nation’s capital.
That makes four B-Sens called up in last week, including Ben Harpur, Thomas Chabot and Nick Paul.
If you include Chris DiDomenico, that’s now five B-Sens playing in the NHL.
Chris Driedger starts tonight for Belleville in Charlotte to cap of the season series with the Checkers.
Danny Taylor will back him up, after flying down to Charlotte, from Toronto last night.
Tonight’s game can be heard live on 800 CJBQ, cjbq.com and the CJBQ app, starting at 6:50 p.m.
