The holiday service that gets you and your car home safely after a night of festive cheer is looking for volunteers.
Operation Red Nose Quinte runs from the last weekend in November, right through to New Year’s Eve and needs volunteers for a number of jobs.
Co-Chair Cory McKay was on the Lorne Brooker Show Monday morning and says aside from driving or navigating, there are some organizational roles that need to be filled as well.
Red Nose’s other Co-Chair Jill Raycroft says even if you can volunteer for one or two nights, it makes a big difference.
Last year, 230 Red Nose volunteers drove almost 3,000 people more than 43,000 kilometres across the Quinte Region.
The program is free but donations are accepted for Camp Trillium and the YMCA Strong Kids Campaign, with last year’s operation raising more than $42,000.
