Ex-employees of a former Trenton-based manufacturer have made a donation to the Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation.
Following a reunion last month, featuring 330 former employees of Murata-Erie North America Inc., the former workers donated $1,000 to the TMHF.
The company had operated in Trenton from the 1950s until it closed in 1992 and in the 1980s, had almost 1,000 employees, making it Trenton’s largest employer outside of CFB Trenton.
Many of those employees still live in the area, which was the reason for the donation, which goes towards the TMHF annual campaign for new equipment.
