Nine Belleville Tim Hortons stores have banded together to make a whopping $30,398 donation to the Belleville General Hospital Foundation.
The money was raised through the recent week-long Smile Cookie Campaign, which also benefited other local organizations, including the Quinte Humane Society and Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Foundation.
Sean Duncan is the assistant general manager of Hanley Corporation, which owns a number of the Tim Hortons in Belleville and says the fundraiser is something employees at all of the stores really get behind.
BGHF Executive Director Drew Brown tells Quinte News the foundation is ecstatic to receive the gift.
In total this year, the foundation is trying to raise $2 million and Brown says they’re about half way there.
