Some unfortunate news for aircraft enthusiasts across the region and beyond, as the 2018 Quinte International Air Show scheduled for next summer, has been cancelled.
8 Wing Commander Colonel Mark Goulden says operations at the base are the top priority and because of ongoing missions, senior staff had to make the difficult decision.
Colonel Goulden says the wing is thankful for the tremendous support of the QIAS and will be working with community partners and sponsors to try to bring the event back in the future.
But he couldn’t say exactly when base would host an air show next.
