UPDATE: OPP say amber alert suspect Ugo Fredette has been found and his son Louka is safe and in good condition.
Reports say Fredette was spotted in Napanee earlier this afternoon and was followed north up Highway 41, eventually being tracked down and arrested in Griffith, about an hour east of Bancroft.
Police are thanking the public for their help with the search and more information could be on the way as the investigation continues.

There are reports that an amber alert suspect from Quebec may be in Ontario and may be around the Quinte Region.
Quebec Police say the charcoal grey Honday CRV, that Ugo Fredette is said to be driving, was spotted in the Napanee area this afternoon.
The vehicle has Quebec plates X-7-8 B-S-L.
The amber alert went out yesterday evening when Fredette’s six year-old son Louka went missing, around 5:35 p.m. and the boy’s mother was found dead in Saint-Eustache, Quebec.
Anyone who sees the vehicle should contact the closest OPP detachment.
