One of Brighton’s biggest events is getting a bit of a funding boost from the province.
MPP Lou Rinaldi announced a grant of just over $8,000 today, to go towards Brighton Applefest at the end of September.
In total, Ontario is supporting 304 festivals province-wide, while also recognizing the importance of rural events in the province.
Applefest will run from September 21st to 24th and you can click here for event schedules and other information.
Meanwhile, Rinaldi also announced $25,000 for upgrades to the Brighton tennis courts, including new LED lights.
