“UPDATE: Constable Eric Shorey resigned today(Friday) and his resignation was accepted by the Belleville Police Service. The BPS will make no further comment on the matter out of respect for Shorey and his family.
Constable Shorey was found guilty of criminal harassment involving a woman after being charged back in 2012.
Later, under the Police Services Act, he was found guilty of misconduct.
He has been suspended with pay since 2012.
