The YMCA’s Strong Kids Campaign is benefiting from a donation from the Ottawa Senators Foundation.
The foundation presented a cheque this morning for $7,500 from the Sens Campership Fund, to give camp experiences to kids, who otherwise couldn’t afford to go.
Strong Kids Campaign Chair Sam Brady tells Quinte News, the move of the AHL Senators to the region is already paying dividends.
This year’s Strong Kids Campaign goal is $170,000 and Brady says they’re within striking distance of that, sitting currently at about $146,000.
Last year raised $157,000 to help kids go to camp.
