Prince Edward County council will hear an extensive report on policing in the county at its meeting tomorrow evening.
County Police Board Chair, Margaret Werkhoven and OPP Detachment Commander, Staff Sgt. John Hatch will provide a look back over the past 3 years and a look ahead at plans for the next 3 years.
A Community Satisfaction Survey in Prince Edward County showed that 99% of respondents felt either safe or very safe in the community.
Council will also hear about plans for a Community Street Crime Unit to be formed in the near future to tackle such issues as illegal drug use and trafficking.
Prince Edward County council meets at 7 o’clock tomorrow night at Shire Hall in Picton.
