The Quinte Humane Society is looking for information about the person, who tossed a young Beagle/Bassett Hound mix puppy from a moving truck in Eldorado Sunday morning.
QHS Executive Director Frank Rockett says someone brought the pup in after seeing it thrown from the silver Chevy Silverado, on Old Hastings Road, around 5:30 p.m.
Rockett tells Quinte News the dog is being kept on a “stray hold” for the time being
The dog was uninjured, but the person who caught it wasn’t able to get the license plate of the truck.
Rockett says it’s important to find out who owned the dog for a couple of reasons.
Rockett says if you have an animal you can’t care for, you should be bringing it to the Humane Society so they can properly take care of it.
Anyone who might have information is asked to call the Ontario SPCA hotline at 310-SPCA (7722) or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477)
