The organizers of the Bay of Quinte Art and Wine Festival couldn’t have asked for a better day
for their first ever event.
The lot across from Belleville City Hall was busy with people enjoying the works of various local
artists as well as locally made wine, beer, and food.
Music was provided by the Quinte Symphony.
Bob Blanchard of the Quinte Arts Council stressed the importance of comments made recently by
Belleville Mayor Taso Christopher.
Belleville Councillor Paul Carr said the art and wine festival was an example of exactly why council decided to buy
the parking lot property across from city hall, as it made for a perfect setting for community events.
A piece by artist Peter Large won the $1,000. juried prize.
The festival was organized by the the Quinte Sunrise Rotary Club.
