Some big dollars have come in from several local Relay for Life events this month.
On Saturday, the Quinte West relay brought in $51,000, surpassing the goal of $40,000.
Spokeswoman Lola McMurter says they also teamed up on a large scale with several local schools.
Marc Garneau, Cite Jeunesse, Quinte Secondary, St Paul’s, Parkdale Public and St Theresa collectively gathered $105,000.
McMurter says their goal for the schools and Quinte West was $100,000 and they brought in $156,000.
