A 23 year old Belleville man faces drug charges in Quebec and other charges in Belleville after a kidnapping that turned out not to be a kidnapping took him from Belleville to Hull, Quebec yesterday (Monday).
City police received a call about a kidnapped man and were able to track him to Quebec.
Police there located him in the company of another man from Belleville.
The complaint of kidnapping was unfounded, but the man had a large quantity of drugs in his possession and he was wanted by Belleville police on 3 arrest warrants.
He has a future court date in Quebec on drug charges, and Belleville officers went to Quebec and drove him back here for a court appearance today (Tuesday).
