The man accused of killing a Belleville native in Burlington will stand trial.
A preliminary hearing to determine if there was enough evidence to proceed to a criminal trial wrapped up in Burlington Friday.
43 year old Malcolm Copeland will be tried on a second degree murder charge in the stabbing death of Elizabeth Nugent in 2014. The two were in a relationship.
Liz Nugent was a freelance designer, who was a graduate of Moira Secondary and Loyalist College.
A trial date has not been set yet.
