The best and brightest students in our area competed in this year’s Quinte Regional Science and Technology Fair at Loyalist College yesterday.
Almost 200 students from grades 4 to 10 took part, showing off around 150 science projects.
Best in grade winners were:
Grade 4 – Hannah Parks and Sophia Saville of St. Joseph Catholic School
Grade 5 – Ethan Stasko of St. Joseph Catholic School
Grade 6 – Lily Woods, Shoshannah Spencer of Susanna Moodie
Grade 7 – Abby Vieira of St. Joseph Catholic School
Grade 8 – Jesse Rozic of St. Paul Catholic Secondary School
Grades 9 – 12 – Meera Moorthy of Moira Secondary School.
Heading to the Canada Wide Science Fair are Meera Moorthy, Felipe Martinez and Andreas Stein.
The Canada Wide Science Fair will be held in May in Regina, Saskatchewan.
