It’s been a long time coming, but the man accused of stabbing a Belleville woman to death will be in court for a preliminary hearing beginning this morning in Burlington.
Malcolm Copeland is charged with second degree murder in the death of Elizabeth Nugent.
She was killed in her downtown Burlington apartment in October of 2014.
According to InsideHalton.com, the delay in reaching the preliminary hearing stage was caused by Copeland switching lawyers several times.
