It is going to be a very warm day for a February 22 today.
Environment Canada is calling for a high of 8 degrees celsius in the Quinte region.
However, as nice as that is, 8 degrees won’t be a new high temperature record.
Back on the 22nd of February, 1981, the mercury climbed to 13.5 degrees.
Meanwhile, we’ll have a better shot at a new temperature record tomorrow (Thursday) when the forecast high is 12 degrees.
The current record for a February 23 was set in 1984 at 11.6 degrees.
