The Trenton Golden Hawks have had the highest average attendance over the past few years, however, this season they sit in a class alone.
This week the Ghawks surpassed the Ontaro Junior Hockey League season attendance record at home. The previous record was 16,101, but now the team sits at 16,889.
Team Spokeswoman Jodie Carmichael says “It’s pretty exciting! It’s great for our fans to know they accomplished something so special. It’s because of the fans we’ve had for so long” Carmichael says.
The team has another four home games in which to pad their numbers.
