The trial is underway for Trenton man Ronald Shorey in a Belleville courtroom.
According to an Intelligencer report, Shorey has pleaded guilty to manslaughter, but Crown
Attorneys hope to convict him on a second degree murder charge.
Trenton woman, Cindy Sullivan, died of multiple stab wounds at an Adrian Court apartment in
2012.
Shorey and Sullivan knew each other.
The report says it’s expected Shorey’s defence lawyer will argue that Shorey’s actions were aided by provocation, intoxication, or a previous brain injury.
The Crown will continue to present its case for the next several days.
