You’ll be happy to hear that it’s smooth sailing this morning (Saturday) on the 401 through our region.
Traffic was a nightmare on both east and westbound lanes for quite a while yesterday afternoon after
a tractor trailer went out of control, ending up in the median and blocking the entire highway.
The truck driver sustained minor injuries.
Meanwhile, at 2 this morning (Saturday), Quinte West firefighters from the Tuckers Corners fire hall had to put out a car fire on the 401 westbound near Wallbridge Loyalist Road.
Traffic wasn’t affected and no one was injured. The car was being towed by another vehicle at the time.
