A local company has developed a new product that can compete in Asia and will expand its footprint in Belleville,
and another local company will build the addition.
Vice President of Triangle Fluid Controls, Mike Shorts, says Bel-Con Engineering will build another 12,600 square feet on to its current 21 thousand square foot building.
The expansion should be finished by the end of this year, at a cost of 2.2 million dollars.
Triangle Fluid will apply for government funding but is prepared to go ahead without it.
Another 2 to 4 jobs will be added to the company’s existing 21 person workforce however VP Shorts says the new equipment and warehouse space will mean stability for the company in the near future.
Shorts also says he expects the company to grow even more, in footprint and in employment, over the next few years.
Triangle Fluid Controls manufactures gasketing products.
