The third annual Earth Hour begins Saturday night at 8:30 and the Chair of Belleville’s Green Task Force is urging you to mark the event by turning off the lights and reducing your carbon footprint. Councillor Tom Lafferty says the Task Force is working on a number of green projects including an environmental weekend in May. Lafferty says they’ll be encouraging industry, social networks and all residents to buy into the sustainability plan….and, reminds you to power down for Earth Hour Saturday night from 8:30 til 9:30.
