Lots of interest in the Chief Executive Officer’s job at the Belleville Public Library. Library Board Chair Garnet Thompson wouldn’t release the number of people who applied, but says he’s pleased with the response, adding the applications came from across Canada for the $92,000 position. The job became available after the board terminated the contract of Marc Gagnon, who had held the position for two and a half years. Thompson says a selection committee will review the applications early next month, and then present a list of candidates to the board for interviews.
