Despite the recession, Prince Edward Counties 5 municipal museums are doing just fine. Over 10 thousand people visited the Ameliasburg Historical Museum, the Rose House, Mariners Park Museum, MacAulay Park, and the Wellington Heritage Museum so far this year. In all of last year, there were 9700 visitors.
Meanwhile, volunteers worked a total of just over 9 thousand hours so far this year, saving the County taxpayers 86 thousand dollars in wages, at the current minimum wage.
