A Bloomfield-area woman has won a five-week delay in having to give up six dogs and some poultry.
Justice Jeff Griffen granted the stay of the order against Paula Deininger until August 26th in Picton provincial court this week.
She and her daughter, Ruth Butts, were ordered on July 16th to find new homes within a week for six of their nine dogs and for all the chickens, ducks and geese running loose at their home on Wilson Road.
They were convicted at the same time of operating a kennel without a licence, having unlicensed dogs and having livestock in a residential area, and were fined 20-thousand dollars each.
