Today marks the anniversary of a murder that has stumped police in Quinte West for eight years. The body of 19-year-old Kathleen MacVicar was found in a wooded area at C-F-B Trenton on June 15th, 2001, and despite a 50-thousand-dollar provincial reward, the case is still unsolved. The Nova Scotia native was last seen leaving a friend’s home in Trenton two days earlier, and was walking back to the base, where she lived with relatives. She suffered multiple stab wounds and had been sexually assaulted. It is one of two unsolved murders in Quinte West. The other is Deborah Larigee of Bayside, who was killed in July, 2003.
