Belleville environmental criminal Jim Sinclair will have to wait until next month to learn his fate on convictions for breaking more than a dozen laws at the former Bakelite property in Belleville. The 68-year old was at Superior Court for sentencing, this morning, when his lawyers asked for more time to study court documents which didn’t arrive until yesterday. Sinclair was convicted of breaking 14 Ministry of the Environment laws earlier this year….the most serious for allowing PCB’s to flow into the Bay of Quinte from his east-end waterfront property. The crown is seeking a 10-month jail sentence and half-a-million dollar fine.
