Belleville Police have confirmed a Quinte News report that a fire Wednesday morning (May 8) and a shooting incident from last Monday (April 29) occurred at the same residence.
On April 29 around 2:30 p.m., shots were fired into a nearby residence at Highway 37 and Harmony Road.
A suspect, wearing a mask and dressed all in black, left the property on a stand-up electric two-wheeled scooter.
Harmony and Foxboro Public Schools were both put into a hold and secure situation, with police helping students leave the site.
Wednesday morning, fire crews were called to the same house at Honeywell Corners, at Harmony Road and Highway 37 around 12:30 a.m. for a fully engulfed blaze.
Tyendinaga Township crews assisted Belleville Fire until it was deemed under control around 2:45 a.m.
