A problem with a 44-kilovolt hydro line had some Belleville residents woking up in the East Hill neighbourhood to flashing digital clocks and other appliances this morning.
Veridian Connections official Peter Hoekstra says the line, which feeds substations on Herchimer Avenue, Jones Street and Reid Street, went through an auto-reclose at 4-30 this morning.
It lasted only one-and-a-half seconds, but was long enough to interrupt the power supply to homes and businesses in the east end.
