70-charges…..that’s the result of a two day blitz by the Quinte Region Traffic Coalition this week. The traffic team with officers from Belleville and Stirling Rawdon Police and local OPP Detachments focussed on motorists blocking intersections, seat belts and running red lights. Over 30 of the charges laid were for speeding…and, about 20-were issued for failing to stop on a red light. Nine drivers were charged with not wearing their seatbelts.
