Former Quinte Hawk and National Hockey League player Mike Danton, in prison for a murder-for-hire plot, could be released in two months..
The National Parole Board has scheduled a hearing for Danton on August 28th.
The 28-year-old was transferred to a minimum-security facility in Kingston earlier this spring, a move that is part of a process of preparing him for release.
Danton had served four years in an American prison of a 7-and-a-half-year sentence for hiring a hitman to kill his former hockey coach, mentor and player agent, David Frost.
