The Lindsay Muskies edged the Trenton Golden Hawks 8-7 in overtime on Friday.
Mason Musclow, Liam Fisher, Evan Norris, Ethan Brassard, Kale Mace, Kaiden Harmon, Beckett Ewart scored for the Golden Hawks.
The Golden Hawks got off to a strong start in the first period, while the Muskies scored first. The Golden Hawks then scored four back-to-back goals to take a strong lead in the second period. In the second, the Muskies scored three times to even the score, before the Golden Hawks scored once at the end of the period to take back a slim lead. In the third, both teams took turns scoring, with the Muskies getting three goals and the Golden Hawks two, resulting in a tied game at the end of the frame. In overtime, after less than a minute and a half of play, the Muskies scored and took the game.
The Golden Hawks are back in action on Saturday. They’re on the road to face the Toronto Patriots.
