Ontario’s Special Investigations Unit is probing a fatal crash in South Frontenac that left a man and a woman dead early Monday morning.
Police say the incident began just after midnight when an officer approached a parked vehicle reported stolen, and the driver fled before crashing on Bedford Road.
The unidentified male driver and a female passenger were pronounced dead at the scene.
The SIU has assigned three investigators, two forensic experts, and a collision reconstructionist to examine the circumstances.
Investigators are appealing for any witnesses, photos, or video footage to come forward to assist with the case.
