A historic milestone was reached at Picton Terminals on Wednesday.
In a post to Facebook, the inland port near Picton said that M/V Vectis Progress was in port loading corn for export to Ireland.
According to Picton Terminals, this represents the first direct bulk export from its terminal to a non-U.S. international market in its more than 70-year history.
