Three people have been arrested and one other is still being sought after a search warrant was executed in Campbellford.
Members of the Peterborough/Northumberland Community Street Crime Unit, with assistance from the OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit, Emergency Response Team, and Canine Unit, executed a search warrant at a residence on Grand Road on Thursday.
Three people fled on foot from the property and were subsequently arrested nearby.
As a result of the search, officers seized a loaded firearm.
The investigation remains ongoing, and police are seeking a fourth individual in connection with the incident.
Forty-four-year-old David Munford of Campbellford has been charged with:
- Possession of loaded prohibited or restricted firearm
- Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
- Careless storage of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition
- Tampering with a serial number of a firearm
- Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order
- Fail to comply with probation order – two counts
Forty-five-year-old Shane Mclean of Campbellford has been charged with:
- Possession of loaded prohibited or restricted firearm
- Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
- Tampering with a serial number of a firearm
- Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order
- Careless storage of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition
- Fail to comply with probation order
Thirty-nine-year-old Kelly Scott of Campbellford, has been charged with:
- Possession of loaded prohibited or restricted firearm
- Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
- Tampering with a serial number of a firearm
- Fail to comply with probation order
- Careless storage of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition
All accused were held to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg.
