Hastings County has signed a new doctor as part of their ongoing Family Physician Recruitment Program.
Dr. Saad Mirza is now practising with the Bancroft Community Family Health Team. Previously, Dr. Mirza practised in Pakistan before relocating to Canada and being certified through the Ministry of Health’s Practice Ready Ontario program.
“From my first visit, Bancroft stood out as a community where people genuinely care for one another – a community with deep roots and a strong sense of belonging,” said Dr. Mirza. “I am grateful for the opportunity to serve here and to contribute to improving access to primary care.”
Hastings County has recruited 30 doctors across all municipalities so far through the Family Physician Recruitment Program. Two emergency doctors for the North Hastings Hospital in Bancroft were also recruited through the program.
