Northumberland OPP have arrested a man after he was found driving a stolen vehicle.
On Sunday at approximately 8:30 p.m., an officer was conducting patrols on Highway 401 west in the Township of Hamilton when the automated licence plate recognition system alerted them to a stolen vehicle.
Police conducted a traffic stop and arrested one person. The vehicle had recently been reported stolen in Quebec.
Thi Kien, a 44-year-old from North York has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and theft of motor vehicle.
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg in September 2026.
