A massive community effort across the Quinte region has officially delivered life-saving aid to families recovering from Hurricane Melissa in Jamaica.
The relief campaign brought together the Belleville Caribbean Festival Committee, local emergency services, Quinte News, and several dedicated business partners.
Together, the coalition rallied residents to gather essential supplies as well as critical financial donations for storm victims.
Belleville police confirmed on Monday that the shipped relief items have arrived safely on the island and are already being distributed to impacted families.
Officers and local organizers expressed gratitude to the dozens of volunteers who worked around the clock to organize logistics.
Officials noted that the initiative highlights the generosity of local residents during international crises.
Ultimately, the successful campaign proved once again that Belleville’s compassion knows no borders.
