Assault
On July 25, 2026 at 4:14 p.m., Belleville police responded to a business on North Front Street regarding an assault.
Upon arrival, officers learned that three male youths approached a youth victim and initiated a verbal altercation. The situation escalated when one of the males physically assaulted the victim, pulling him to the ground and punching him.
As a result of the investigation, a 15-year-old Prince Edward County male, whose identity is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, was located, arrested, and charged with assault
He was released on an undertaking with a court date in September.
Warrant
On July 25, 2026, Belleville police observed a group of individuals in the city’s north end. One of the males was identified as having an outstanding Belleville Police Service arrest warrant. As a result of the investigation, a 40-year-old Belleville man of no fixed address was arrested on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing.
Public Intoxication
On July 25, 2026 at 10:47 p.m., Belleville police responded to a report of an intoxicated male causing a disturbance in the area of Sidney Street and Catherine Street. The male was reported to be yelling at individuals in the area and making threatening comments. Upon arrival, officers observed the male to be intoxicated.
As a result of the investigation, a 25-year-old Belleville male was arrested and charged with being intoxicated in a public place. He was later released from police custody once he had sobered up.
Fail to Comply
On July 25, 2026 at 2:22 a.m., Belleville police conducted a traffic stop in the area of North Front Street.
Upon speaking with the driver, officers learned that he was subject to several court-ordered conditions that he was breaching.
As a result of the investigation, a 27-year-old Pickering man was arrested and charged with fail to comply with an undertaking x4.
He was held for a bail hearing.
