One person has been charged after a rock was thrown through the front window of a Belleville business.
Police were called to the west end business just after 7:30 Monday evening.
An employee reported that a male had thrown a large rock through the front window and was still on the premises.
Upon arrival, officers found the male suspect seated near the damaged window.
He was taken into custody without incident.
A 34-year-old Belleville man of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with Mischief under $5,000 and two counts of Fail to comply with a probation order.
Police say while in custody, the male stated he intended to continue damaging property, including smashing police station windows and making threats to officers if released.
The male was held for a bail hearing.
