Quinte West residents, sports organizations, and recreation users are being asked for their input on the future of turf fields and arenas in the city.
A feasibility study is being conducted to help guide decisions and investments in arena and turf facilities in Quinte West.
The study, an outcome of the 2024-2039 Parks and Recreation Master Plan, will look at the following:
- Assess current and future demand for arena ice and indoor turf facilities
- Evaluate the condition and use of existing facilities
- Explore and recommend options to meet the needs of a growing community
Residents are being asked to complete a short survey, which seeks input on:
- How often they use local recreation facilities
- The activities and programs they participate in
- Challenges accessing ice time or indoor field space
- Features and amenities they value most
- Priorities for future recreation facilities
The survey is open now until July 31, 2026, and is available online or in person at Quinte West City Hall (7 Creswell Dr., Trenton) and the Frankford Municipal Office (22 N Trent St., Frankford).
Recommendations from this study will be presented to Quinte West Council in early 2027.
A link to the survey can be found at the City of Quinte West’s website.
