A Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued for the Quinte region.
Environment Canada says in its alert that conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts and heavy rain.
They warn that rainfall amounts could reach 60 millimetres and that wind gusts could reach up to 90 km/h.
The severe thunderstorm could make its way through beginning this afternoon and continue until the evening.
