Northumberland-Clarke MP Philip Lawrence has a new role within the Conservative Party’s Shadow Cabinet.
He’s been appointed Shadow Minister for International Development.
In a statement Lawrence said it’s time to restore Canada’s standing as a principled and effective leader on the world stage and he looks forward to holding the government to account on this important file.
He has held several previous Shadow Minister roles including most recently Shadow Minister for Intergovernmental Affairs and One Canadian Economy, Inter-Provincial Trade.
Also during last week’s shuffling of critic roles Opposition Leader Pierre Poilievre appointed Hastings–Lennox & Addington-Tyendinaga MP Shelby Kramp-Neuman as Ontario Special Advisor in the Official Opposition Shadow Cabinet.
