The U13 Frankford Flyers OASA team competed in the Oshawa Double B Tournament this past weekend and put together an incredible performance from start to finish.
After a dominant showing throughout the round robin, the Flyers powered their way through the semifinals and punched their ticket to the championship game. The boys capped off an outstanding tournament run with an 11-1 victory over Oshawa to bring home the championship.
This was a team effort all weekend long. The defence was unbeatable, the pitching was dominant, and the bats came alive in a big way. Every player contributed to a weekend filled with hard work, determination, and outstanding play.
The coaching staff couldn’t be more proud of the effort, teamwork, and sportsmanship displayed by this exceptional group of athletes. The boys represented Frankford with class both on and off the field and showed what Flyers Fastball is all about.
Congratulations to:
Malkin Courtney, Gabe Fischer, Noah Gilchrist, Ben Kerr, Colby MacDonald, Tripp McComb, Kash Nelson, Mitchell Tanner, Max Taylor, Kyah Varley, and Austin Webb.
Coaches: Brian Blakely, Mark Courtney, Tyler Gilchrist, and Rob MacDonald.
