Brian Lowry has been awarded the Town of Greater Napanee’s 2026 Senior of the Year.
Arelease from the town states that Lowry has been a part of the Napanee community as an elementary school teacher guiding young students not only in academics but in character and confidence.
He is the owner and chief instructor at the Napanee Karate Club, and has done so for over 35 years.
At 82 years old, Lowry continues to teach karate four nights a week.
The town recognized Lowry for “exemplifying an extraordinary commitment to lifelong service and community involvement.”
