Cornerstone Family Violence Prevention Centre announces that its 10th Annual Women’s Day Luncheon, held on May 14, raised a record-breaking over $84,000.
These funds will help Cornerstone continue to provide vital programs and services to individuals and families impacted by gender-based violence across Northumberland County.
The motivational and heartfelt event brought together community members for an afternoon with the opportunity to hear from guest speaker Brandi Leifso, founder and CEO of EVIO beauty.
“Brandi’s story was truly remarkable and powerful, there were many tears in the audience as we listened to her motivational story,” said Nancy Johnston, executive director of Cornerstone. “Each year, the luncheon is a reminder of the incredible community of supporters we have, and that when we work together, we can make real change for women and children in Northumberland County. The funds raised support our programs and services, including shelter, counselling, prevention programming and more.”
Cornerstone’s work is made possible through the dedication of donors, sponsors, and supporters. “A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us for the afternoon or supported and contributed to the event.
