June is Recreation and Parks Month and Seniors Month.
To celebrate, the City of Belleville’s Community Services Department is hosting Activities in the Park at West Zwick’s Park, today, June 2 from 4 to 7 p.m.
The free event features activities for all ages.
Food trucks will be on-site along with various community booths and city departments.
There will also be inflatables, balloon animals and face painting for the kids, and Belly from the Belleville Senators.
The first 100 people will receive a free kiddie cup from Kona Ice Shaved Ice Truck. Visit the city’s welcome booth for your free voucher.
At the Lions Pavilion, you will have a chance to try boccia at 5 p.m. and the duet band “Good to Go” is performing at 6 p.m.
Belleville’s Mayor Neil Ellis, along with mayors from surrounding municipalities, will compete in a “bragging rights” soccer challenge at 4:15 p.m. in a nod to the upcoming FIFA World Cup.
